... to shit or get off the pot, as they say. I've given a lot of thought to Axiom's (and others') concerns about there being too many anonymous voters for Cock of the Block. I'd like to think that the Contest is a simple one where no one would try to alter the results by voting more than once (or twice, or three times, etc.). What, pray tell, is to be gained by manipulating the vote in what is meant to be an honest, horny little competition where each contestant should have an equal shot of winning? I seldom give my Koba's Choice Award to the overall winner. We all have different tastes and there is absolutely nothing to be gained by skewing the results. All this to say, I'm hoping many of you who regularly vote on Sunday will consider getting a web identity. As I explained in the comments section a few posts down, it is a very easy and free thing to do. Simply go to blogger.com and sign up (create a blog). You never have to use or post anything to your blog, but it will give you a discernible web identity that you can use on here. Plus, no more haggling with the "prove you are not a robot" thing. Just one simple click and your comment posts. Please think about it. I have not yet totally decided to make it mandatory for voting on Sundays, but please, give it a thought. It takes 2 seconds and is free. And it would make for a lot more transparency. Thanks. Dude on the flush below is US snowboarding Champ, Gus Kenworthy.

I think it is really sad that a fun, simple contest has come to this. I vote one time, anonymously because I don't want to register. I have done this for years. Now IF I continue to check out your blog and the contests, I simply won't vote any more.

Wow, what great legs you have Gus Kenworthy:)
Thanks for the extra bonus Koba
To Anon above (first comment): I'm really try to understand, can you tell me *why* you don't want to register? I really hope you and others will provide me with more feedback.
Because I already have too many pass words and am registered for too many things. One more thing just is too much. Not your fault. No worries if you want it that way. It is your blog & I know I'll still check it out. I just won't vote.
Thanks Anon. I can get that. I, too, have a lot of passwords and what not to remember. I have a little book that I keep them all in. For this one though (and I'm talking about me logging on to Soliloquies) the computer remembers it for me. I am still pondering the idea for voting in COTB. Thanks for your input!
Scott (most faithful commentator), what say you? Have you tried to create a Blogger identity?
Others? What say you? Please give me your feedback! :)
Please talk to me guys! I crank out these posts each and every day and get like 168,000 hits per month and usually it is only Scott who comments on a regular basis. More comments, more feedback = a better site!
hey man, first let me say this is a great site, I visit it every day and look forward to sundays when we get to vote. I am not very good at this computer shit, that is why I vote anonymously, but I will try to figure out how to register so I can still vote. I don't vote every week, but just wanted to say thank you again for the little entertainment I get every morning from you great site.
Thanks Anon at 6:18! It's great to hear from you! Just go to Blogger.com and create an account (create a blog). It's as easy as that :)And I'm glad to hear that you enjoy the site! :)
come on! you only get about 20 votes (max) per contest! nobody is using robots...
who could possibly care if the result was manipulated or not? we are not voting for POTUS...
dont kill the fun!
keep it simple!
Agree with all the anonymous comments regarding having to "register to vote". You probably started the cock on the block as a fun past time; keep it fun. I will, probably, still check out your site (as you are one of the only three I check out) but would stop voting.
