I think it's no exaggeration to say that one of our longtime and most passionate readers here on Soliloquies enjoys the occasional Bloody Mary. I recently came across a couple of recipes for the drink (one from Bon Appetit and the other from the September 2006 issue of Gourmet Magazine) that I thought I would share with you all and with H.K. in particular! Cheers!

Koba, HK will be in his glory seeing these recipes for these Bloody Mary!! Just hope he can wait till Sunday brunch to try these out. We don't want him getting like Karen Walker (LMAO) when she when have a soothing BM, morning, noon or night. I'm sure HK will know all about Karen Walker.
Thanks for the treat Koba!!
KOBA, SCOTT, YOU GUYS KNOW HOW TO BRIGHTEN A GUY'S DAY!!! LUV YA!!!
SCOTT, KAREN WALKER IS MY TV SISTER IDOL!!! ONE OF THE FUNNIEST LADIES IN THE BUSINESS!!! SCOTT...(CUDDLE ME BUM) LMFAO!!!
KOBA, I THINK YOU SHOULD CHECK TO SEE IF YOU SPROUTED WINGS!!! YOU'RE AND ANGEL... AND PART DEVIL, TOO!!!
THE BLOODY MARY CLOSEST TO MINE IN #2 (THE GOURMET) THE LIQOUR I USE IS A COUPLE OF SHOTS OF SMINOFF VODKA (OR ANY VODKA. THERE ARE HUNDREDS)
FOR THE JUICE, I ONLY USE A BRAND CALLED SACRAMENTO!!! I ALSO USE A DASH OR TWO OF CELERY SALT. ON THE TABASCO AND HORSERADISH, THE MORE YOU USE THE HOTTER THE BM WILL BE!!!
TO SERVE THE PREFECT BM YOU SHOULD SALT THE RIM OF THE GLASS AND SERVE WITH A LARGE STALK OF CELERY WITH A STUFFED OLIVE ON THE END AND A WEDGE OF LEMON OR LIME (LIME CAME FROM CAL)!!! THIS IS A WINNER RECEIPE AND THE'RE JOY TO LOOK AT/AND DRINK!!!
FYI, GUYS... I HAD A COUPLE YESTERDAY!!!
KOBA, ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU AND SCOTT, TOO!!!
I LEAVE YOU WITH A SONG... 🎶🎶🎶 WE ARE FAMILY, ALL MY BROTHERS...

I never want to go home
My brother-in-law's fave tipple is a vodka and tonic. I'm down for just about anything, but margaritas in moderation! :)
Thanks guys, and you're most welcome, H.K.! :-)
We call them Caesars here in Canada, so darn delicious.
"Hail Caesar"
Love and MISS bloody marys. Due to medication and organ issues can not drink. I loved one that a Chicago "Biker" themed bar used to make. Nick named the Scabby Mary. Had salami, shrimp, olives, parm cheese, peppers etc. It was a meal
Sean, I'm in a similar situation, this past Sunday marked by 18th year anniversary without a drink. I have to admit I not only miss Bloody Marys but other drinks as well. Man, a nice Absolute Hawaiian Seabreeze shaken not stirred, I loved, LOL!!!
Oh boy I wished I had one of those Scabby Mary's before I put down the alcohol.
